Our operational research examines how effective our medical and health interventions are. We target specific diseases and seek to understand the impact of our programmes.
For over 26 years we have collaborated with research institutions around the World to develop effective research methods in Africa.
Together with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland we have explored a range of public health needs from health care delivery to control of water borne diseases.
We have introduced many innovative approaches to stop the spread of infectious disease. Sometimes it takes decades to demonstrate lasting change. Other research has targeted the patterns of psychosocial shift in vulnerable communities like sex workers or orphans and vulnerable children. We have helped in the design of medical anthropological and epidemiological research in many countries and provided medical and anthological evaluation of public health programmes.
